From Scottsdale to Glendale: A Decade of Building a Place in Arizona.
In 2013, a restaurant called Inchin’s Bamboo Garden opened its doors in Scottsdale.
More than a decade later, the journey continues in Glendale.
For the team behind Inchin’s, Arizona has never been just another market. It has been home to a long chapter of their story—one that began in Scottsdale and eventually led them to Glendale, where they opened their doors in July 2023.
Moving to Glendale meant starting a new chapter and getting to know a new community. While the restaurant brought with it the flavors and experience people had come to associate with Inchin’s, the team knew that becoming part of a neighborhood takes more than putting up a sign and opening the doors.
It takes people.
Over the past three years, Inchin’s Glendale has welcomed families, friends, professionals, longtime Inchin customers and plenty of people discovering the restaurant for the first time. Some guests came because someone recommended a favorite dish. Others came simply because they were curious about the combination of Indian flavors and Asian-inspired cooking.
And then some came back.
That is often how a restaurant knows it is becoming part of a community.
A familiar face walks through the door. A customer knows exactly what they want to order. Someone brings friends who have never been before. A family makes the restaurant part of their regular dinner rotation.
Those relationships have become an important part of the Glendale story.
Celebrating Three Years in Glendale
That sense of community was especially visible on September 10, when the Glendale team gathered to celebrate three years since opening in the neighborhood.
The celebration brought together a remarkably broad cross-section of the Valley's community. Leaders and members representing organizations and groups including IACRF, Telugu, Maharashtra and Kerala community organizations, and the India Association came out to celebrate.
The evening also included members of the Valley's media community, including AZIndia, Asia Today and Namaste Phoenix, along with local doctors, attorneys, business owners and some of the Valley's known entrepreneurs.
There were longtime supporters, friends, customers and people who had become connected with the restaurant since its Glendale opening.
For the team, having so many different parts of the community together in one place made the evening about much more than a three-year anniversary.
It was a reminder of how much can happen around a restaurant table.
Conversations happen. Friendships develop. Business connections are made. Families celebrate milestones. And, sometimes, people who may never have crossed paths otherwise end up sharing the same table.
That is the kind of community a restaurant hopes to become part of.
A Fresh Chapter Inside Glendale
The anniversary also comes at a time of change for the Glendale restaurant.
The location has recently undergone a renovation, giving the dining room a fresh look and a new vibe. The goal was to create an atmosphere that feels contemporary and inviting while keeping the welcoming spirit that has been part of the restaurant since opening.
The food remains at the center of the experience, but there is also something new happening behind the bar.
The Glendale location has been developing a craft cocktail program created specifically to pair with its Indian-inspired Asian fusion menu. Rather than treating cocktails as an afterthought, the team wanted the drinks to be part of the overall dining experience, with creative flavors designed to complement the food.
It gives guests another reason to linger a little longer—whether they're stopping in for dinner, meeting friends or looking for something different for a night out.
More Than a Restaurant
Looking back from Glendale, the journey that started in Scottsdale in 2013 has covered more than a decade.
Restaurants naturally change over time. Menus evolve. Spaces get renovated. New customers discover the food while longtime customers continue to return.
But some things remain the same.
The importance of good food. The people behind it. And the relationships built with the community.
For Inchin’s Glendale, the next chapter isn't about trying to recreate what came before. It's about continuing to build something that belongs here.
The renovated space, the evolving cocktail program and the growing connections throughout the Valley are all part of that.
And perhaps the September 10 celebration captured the story better than anything else could.
People from different corners of the community—leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, media, customers, friends and families—came together under one roof to celebrate a restaurant that has spent the past three years becoming part of Glendale.
From Scottsdale in 2013 to Glendale in 2023, the location may have changed.
But the idea remains remarkably simple:
Bring people together around good food, make them feel welcome, and give them a reason to come back.
For Inchin’s Glendale, the next chapter is already underway.
