Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026. This policy describes how Namaste Publication LLC ("we," "us") handles information when you use our Services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to our websites, email newsletters, forms, events registration, partner story submission flows, and related digital services (the "Services").
2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account and profile data such as name, email, password hash, phone number if you provide it, and optional profile details.
- Content you submit such as partner story submissions, messages, uploads, and event RSVPs.
- Newsletter and marketing data such as email address, subscription source, and mailing-list membership.
- Transaction and advertising order data needed to fulfill purchases or magazine placements.
- Technical and usage data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use first-party analytics and server logs for operations and aggregated reporting. On public pages we may also use advertising and measurement tools (such as the Meta Pixel) that collect similar technical data and interaction signals to understand how visitors find and use the Services and to measure our marketing.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some features.
First-party analytics. On public pages we record aggregated page views (which URLs were visited, approximate device and channel, and optional click/scroll heatmap signals). We use a first-party cookie (np_fs) only to distinguish new vs returning browsers for internal reports - it does not contain your name or email. IP addresses may be looked up once to approximate city/region for aggregate traffic dashboards.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel. When enabled, our public website loads the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It may set or read cookies and collect information about your visit (for example, pages viewed, actions taken such as newsletter sign-up, event registration, deal claims, or completed purchases, browser and device data, and referring URL). We use this to measure ad performance, understand audience engagement, and improve our marketing. Meta may use this information according to its own policies. Learn more at Meta's Privacy Policy and manage ad preferences at Meta Ad Settings. We do not load the Meta Pixel on admin or account-management areas of the Services.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the Services; publish content; process orders and payments; communicate with you; send newsletters or marketing where permitted; secure our systems; comply with law; understand readership in aggregate; and measure and improve advertising and outreach (including through tools such as the Meta Pixel described above).
5. Email and CAN-SPAM
Marketing emails identify Namaste Publication LLC as the sender, include a valid postal address in the footer, and include a working way to opt out (typically an unsubscribe link). We honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Transactional messages (for example, password resets or receipts) may be sent even if you opt out of marketing, when necessary to perform the Services.
6. How we share information
We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, or advertising measurement partners such as Meta), subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Where we use the Meta Pixel, certain technical and interaction data may be processed by Meta as described in section 3. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense of exchanging a mailing list for cash; if we ever offer a financial incentive program tied to data in a jurisdiction that defines "sale" broadly, we will describe it as required by law.
7. Retention
We retain information as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and operational requirements, and then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your choices
You may update certain account information in your settings where available. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. You may limit certain advertising cookies through your browser, block third-party cookies, or use Meta's ad settings (linked in section 3). You may contact us to request access or correction of information, or to ask questions about this policy.
California residents: Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, or opt-out of certain sharing. Contact us using the information below and we will respond in line with legal requirements.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International visitors
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States where laws may differ from your country.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
