Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan Phoenix (SGRS)

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan (SGRS) Phoenix brings the Gurukul tradition to Arizona from its campus in Apache Junction. The Gurukul was founded in 1948 in Rajkot, Gujarat, by H.H. Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj Shri Dharmajivandasji Swami, at the dawn of India's independence, to revive the ancient Gurukul way of learning: education joined with spiritual and moral values, so young people grow up to serve society.

Guided by the Shikshapatri of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, the Gurukul teaches discipline, good manners, human values, a love of nature and an understanding of the power of prayer.

Aims of the Gurukul

• Spread the message of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan
• Build strong character through real education
• Encourage harmony among all faiths
• Balance spirituality and modern life
