SPK Academy of Music

The SPK Academy of Music is one of the world's leading non-profit schools of Indian classical music, based in Chandler. Students learn the sitar from Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan (Ustadji), a sitar maestro of global acclaim and the seventh generation of the famous Etawah gharana, and from his senior disciples.

At the heart of the Academy is the guru-shishya parampara, the traditional bond between teacher and student, kept alive for more than 200 students from every background. Founder and director Seema Gulati, a senior disciple of Ustadji, leads the Academy and its teaching.
